How the invasion status works
War of the Words is a daily five-letter word game with a twist: an alien fleet shoots at your tiles while you guess. Every hit chips a tile, and enough hits destroy it. Solve the word and you hold the aliens off; run out of guesses and the aliens win.
Everyone plays the same puzzle each day. This page adds up all of those results: who is winning today, how many players have faced the aliens, how many guesses it took, and how many tiles have been destroyed. Results are anonymous and counted once per player per puzzle.
